About
Step off your patio and head straight to the beach or pool from this oceanfront ground floor condo. The nautical themed living room is an ideal shared space for those wanting a fun family beach vacation. The beautiful kitchen with granite countertops comes full equipped and has a drip coffee pot and washer and dryer. There is a king size bed in the primary bedroom as well as a beautiful walk in shower in the ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and in the smaller third bedroom, or the “Crow’s Nest,” there are two built in twin beds.
All the condos are equipped with private WIFI and have TVs in the living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom. We provide initial toilet paper, trash bags, bath soap, and dishwasher powder. Guests are advised to bring supplementary items if needed.
Take advantage of the recreational opportunities of this private gated community, including a large oceanfront pool, children's playground, two tennis courts with pickleball court lines, and a basketball hoop. Our indoor amenities include a heated pool, sauna, racquet ball court, and fitness center. Due to COVID-19 please be advised Colony Reef Club does not guarantee health, safety and welfare and that use of common areas and facilities is at your own risk.
The beautiful, white, sandy beaches are just a two-minute walk from buildings 1 and 2 and a three-minute walk from building 3. The beaches are accessible by car with just a short drive north to the Dondanville Road Access.
Only a 15-minute drive away is historic downtown Saint Augustine, where there is no shortage of shopping, dining, or fun activities for people of all ages. Check out the towns many historic attractions or hop on the Trolley’s to see it all on the go! You can purchase tickets to many of Saint Augustine’s attractions here in the office!
Saint Augustine has no shortage of kid friendly entertainment! Check out the Alligator Farm or the Lighthouse and Maritime Museum here on the island or head downtown for the Pirate and Treasure Museum or Potter’s Wax Museum for some good old fashion family fun!

I had a terrific February in 2103. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-planned. The kitchen was well stocked, always important to me. I was a little concerned that the first-floor corner location might have foot traffic and noise, but it was situated so that none of that was a problem. Good beds, rather than afterthoughts, in the 3rd BR were much appreciated
Just one suggestion: blackout curtains would be a nice addition for folks who aren’t early risers. The morning sun goes right in the eyes in the master BR,

We stayed a month at Colony Reef in January. Our condo was comfortable and conveniently located. We especially enjoyed the boardwalk to the beach. Walking on the boardwalk across the dunes we enjoyed looking at the various types of vegetation and watching the gopher tortoises and the birds. We enjoyed sitting on the bench located on the boardwalk and watching the ocean and visiting with the other Colony Reef residents. Colony Reef’s design is unique because with the three buildings being in a U shape, it allow every condo a view of the ocean and provides ample green space on the ocean side. We especially like that design. This was our second year staying at Colony Reef and we hop to return next year, as well.

Checking in was super convenient. Staff in the main office were very friendly. When walking in to the room it smelled clean and was noticeably tidy, well equipped, and bright! The location of the unit is unmatched. Being able to watch the kids on the playground in the morning and evening was impeccable. The pool area is large and we never had issue finding a chair or umbrellaed table. The walkway to get over the dunes to the beach has NO stairs. This is so wonderful for our young family... since we take wagons of things to the beach for our enjoyment and the kiddos. Overall best condo I've stayed in at the beach... ever. We WILL be back. My ONLY suggestion would be to simply the remotes and TVs. There seemed to be 1-3 per TV (some with no remote batteries) so that made it a bit confusing in the beginning.

We stay at colony reef every year for a week. We always have a great time! We love all the amenities. The pool is great and steps from our door. The beach is beautiful and never too crowded. The kids love the playground. The condo itself is perfect for us. We appreciated the new living room furniture- it was super comfy. My parents had an issue with the tv in their room but maintenance brought them a new one. I will say that the bed and sheets in the second bedroom are terrible. The mattress is so uncomfortable and the sheets are super rough. But other than that every thing else was perfect. Looking forward to going again next year!

We’ve stayed in this unit before and love it’s location. However, this time the bedding in the two kids rooms were soiled and not washed. My kids refused to sleep with them and ended up sleeping with no covers. It was really disappointing to spend that much and have the kids saying they couldn’t wait to go home to their clean beds.

Our trip was worthwhile. The indoor pool and workout and sauna were a big hit, since the weather was colder than we hoped.
The stove top needed better cleaning with special product. The master bedroom curtains did not keep out the morning sunshine. Otherwise the rooms were very satisfactory.

We rented during Thanksgiving week 2021. The location and view was very nice. The condo was also nice but a little dated inside. The kitchen items were worn out and we didn't have enough tools to prepare several meals we would have liked to cook. The furniture was somewhat worn out also and could use an upgrade.

The experience we had was making great family memories. Our family had rented several condos that weekend had a great weekend getting together on Sunday we had a wedding where my son got married on the beach the backdrop of this condo was absolutely perfect. I've been staying at Colony Reef over 30 years and have stayed in several condos. Absolutely never disappoints.

Perfect location for small kids. Playground right outside of the back patio, as well as pool and beach entrance. Kitchen was fully stocked with all equipment you would need to cook. Clean and spacious. The “crows nest” was perfect for my 3 year old to sleep in. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely come back to that unit!

Master bath has walkIn shower. Some beach toys and chair available. Beach was clean and reasonably uncrowned in July. Due to COVID, clubhouse amenities were unavailable.

Good stay but a couple of issues. No mattess covers on two out of three beds we used. The oven didnt work. The property management company sent a maintenance person (or people) into our unit without prior notice to fix the oven. Our stay could have been perfect with a little better planning and communication from the property manager.

The condo did not have a dvd player which we wish we could have had especially when it rained. The pillows were also very old and bad. Also the lighting is not good. Its like they put 40W light bulbs in every lamp. It is a great location and a great part of the beach. The people in the office were very nice.
Overall, it was great! So good that we have requested a 2 month stay for 2025! Management was superb, the grounds were pretty much immaculate, and of course, the beach was magnificent!
The only issues we had were that the mattresses in Bedroom #1 and #2 were uncomfortable. There is a lightbulb out in the kitchen that is easily replaceable. On one night, there were 8-10 college kids hanging out next door on the patio. However, that only lasted one night.
Again, don't like sharing anything negative only with the idea that these could be easy fixes for the next renter.
