Gold Oceanfront 2403

I have been staying in unit 2403 for almost 5 years. We love the location—the beachfront corner balcony can’t be beat, and the overall location of Colony Reef is perfect. The boardwalk has been rebuilt (I assume from the hurricane last year) and the new playground was nice. This year we noticed some upgrades in the unit (the W&D, the table and couch) BUT those upgrades couldn’t hide the details of the overall quality going downhill.
The dishes were mismatched and scratched, and there were only 2 bowls in the whole place.
The towels were abysmal. Aside from being scratchy poor hotel quality towels, they were so old they had holes in them.
The floors were grimy and turned our feet black within minutes.
The closets were full of broken appliances (fans, etc) and pieces of unusable furniture.
Only one TV remote had batteries that worked. One remote was duct taped together (and still didn’t work) and the room with the crows nest didn’t even have a remote and the TV didn’t work manually.
There was no dish soap available to use and only one sponge that had clearly been used prior to our visit.
The table outside hadn’t been cleaned prior to us checking in.
As you know if you’re reading this review, these units aren’t inexpensive, and previously they were worth the cost. This year, however, left us disappointed and making notes of other properties to research for our next trip to St. Augustine. I can’t say I’ll be returning unless the quality of cleanliness and unit basic amenities are raised significantly.

We stayed the week and were happy with the ease of getting directly on the beach. The pool was gorgeous and well maintained. The air conditioning was on point and the living room/kitchen decorated well. Fit our family of 6 perfect.
Only complaint would be that it is in need of some basic updates like a kitchen clock that works, new sheets on the bed (old and pilled), toilet seat in master stained.
Overall, fab place and we will be back.

We stayed in Colony Reef last year and loved the resort. This year we changed units and absolutely fell in love with 2403. Tastefully decorated,updated kitchen and bathroom and breathtaking views. Would definitely rent this unit again!

I walked the beach everyday except the 3-4 days that weather didn’t permit. The new appliances including refrigerator, microwave, washer and dryer, and dishwasher were very nice. The large sectional couch was nice also. The property manager was very nice. Thank you to Grace, George and Nicolette. Thanks to Keith the property maintenance guy also for his help.

The condo complex was very nice. There is no walking to restaurants close by. The condo was nice, the cleaning was not so well done upon arrival. It advertises as 3 bedroom. The "3rd" bedroom is a like a small closet with 2 small kids beds and a closet. If you are claustrophobic,this is not for you.You cannot shut the door, if claustrophobic. All in all, condo nice, beach was nice, complex secure. Some areas needed general maintenance, but would recommend the complex to others.

This property is great for multi family units. It allows you to be close but have space as well. Unit 2403 had great beds, furniture, and balcony. The only cons were no hot water for kitchen sink so it made cleaning up dishes a challenge. We never had time to fill out a maintenance request or I’m sure it would have been resolved. There is one con about the property...they have no smoking area and one would think this is great...except it forces the smokers to the boardwalk (where property ends) then kids pass back and forth going to the beach. Maybe give smokers an area by the dumpster or something so people can enjoy their walk to the beach without shaming smokers who are told to go there.

Absolutely loved our condo unit!! It was nice, clean and comfortable!! Love Colony Reef Club, anytime we talk with any personally they are friendly, helpful and so courtesy!! This is our 2nd year there and loved it as much the 2nd time or more. We will definitely be back!!

Love this oceanfront, poolside corner unit! Pictures online of interior look different, much brighter than reality. All in all nicely furnished and comfortable. A couple notes to owners/mgmt, vertical blinds need to be replaced! Several slats broken and missing.

Our experience at CRC in unit 2403 was excellent! The unit was well furnished (except for the cheap plastic patio furniture and small dated TV), comfortable, clean, and updated. The best thing about this unit is the amazing view that is expansive because this is a corner unit. We were able to see the sunrise and the sunset!!! An unexpected treat! We very much enjoyed that view from inside as well as from the patio!!! I would rent this unit again just for that view!
We also enjoyed the amenities at CRC! We used the hot tub everyday, the tennis courts several days and the pool once. The grounds are landscaped beautifully! Everything is clean and well maintained here! The Managers were friendly, helpful and recommended some great places to eat.
We enjoyed Harry's and St. Augustine Fish Camp in Historic St. Augustine. We also enjoyed Back 40A1A and Lastrata for dinner and SeaOats for breakfast all of which are within 2 miles of CRC.
I would stay here again next time I visit St. Augustine and have already recommended it to others.

Our family had a great stay in this condo! The views from the balcony were Amazing and the location right on the oceanfront was Perfect! We also enjoyed all the amenities of Colony Reef Club. The only disappointment was the quality of the televisions in the condo. Everything else was wonderful!

The condo was nice but no grill as promised. I did not like that you check in at 4 and by 5 the office goes home! There is not time to get issues resolved before they leave and the security guard didn't really seem to care. No smart tv's in the unit but overall the unit was nice but could use some updating.

We loved our week at Colony Reef! Our condo was comfy and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We plan to be back again next September. You

Fantastic! Lorri and all the staff were very professional, prompt, reliable and helpful. 10 min. walk to a wonderful Catholic Church. Close to Publix. All condos face the ocean--can't get better than that.
